Dance Team 2026-27 at WVDA: DANCE CORE

Summer dance requirements for 2026-2027 Season team members:

  • Weekly dance class(es) at WVDA (6 week session June 27-Aug 8)

  • and/or WVDA Summer Dance Intensive for INT/ADV levels or Broadway Bound for ages 7-12 (both JULY 13-17)

Dance Core is a competition dance team. Students ages 5+ of all levels (beginner, intermediate, and advanced) are welcome to join the team. Students will learn dances to take to compete at various regional events in the Los Angeles area. The majority of team rehearsals are conducted on Sundays beginning with the fall season, and will continue until we attend events in the spring. 

Dance styles include, jazz, ballet, tap, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop/jazz funk, and musical theatre!

Dance Core choreography will be taught by team coaches: Miss Mariah, Miss Nicole, Miss Shanelle, and Miss Laura.
